Illuminations
Light
out of darkness
out of dreams
Draws me
Flickering candle flame
burns brightly — brighter
I am a firefly trapped in orbit
ever nearer, never fully confident I will
reach
out to
touch
the Bright
do you see me as clearly?
Can you hear the minuscule hum
of the tiny wings
that allow me to hover
in your luminescent embrace?
Warmth, love
do you know me as I know you
